In August 2020, CSC (Chinese Scholarship Council) publicly announced that it was known that some agencies were deceiving international students with fake scholarship admission documents and requesting deposits for the release of such files. This is not the first time and the problem might persist as some want to take advantage of these so demanded scholarships.

As a friendly reminder, scholarships are GRANTED mainly by universities and government institutions like CSC. There is no such thing as paying a fee to secure a scholarship and ads like “100% guaranteed full scholarship” are a clear sign for you to stay away from them.

Think of it this way: scholarship money in China are public funds and managed by public institutions (universities included), how is it possible for an agent to secure or guarantee something that does not belong to them?

Scholarships are granted to selected candidates for their academic excellency and to all those who universities consider deserve it. A lot of factors determine the results: academic records, extracurricular achievements, proven skills, available majors and seats, and many more.

Best way to be considered for a scholarship is by showcasing yourself to universities, let them know who you are and what you can bring to their student community.

Note: UniApply does NOT promise scholarship results to any student, does NOT charge any scholarship service fees or deposits.
