A question that students ask frequently about scholarship offers is whether they are unconditional offers or they can get cancelled. Answer is: YES, they can get cancelled.

Students need to realize that scholarships are given on a merit base to students who show academic excellency and good overall performance.

What is good? Is there a standard?

Performance standards can vary between universities but students are expected to pass all courses, which minimum grade required is of 60/100, and have an attendance rate of 70% at least.

All scholarship students are normally evaluated on a semester or yearly basis. If the requirements mentioned above are not met, students might risk their scholarship continuation for the next period or even for the remaining of the program.

As a recommendation, don’t take your scholarship offer for granted! Make your best effort to take maximum advantage of it. Not everyone can get one and university officials will not hesitate to give the opportunity to other more deserving students.
