Can international students work in China?

Last Update hace 4 años

In the past, foreign students in China were not allowed to work full time nor part time. However, the Chinese government has recently changed some regulations allowing students to take on part time jobs or internships. Procedures and requirements vary from city to city but generally speaking, you will first need to find an employer (company) and job position that is related to your major, get authorization from your university allowing you to take a job and then proceed for a change of your immigration status from student visa/residence permit to one for internship. Note that your work/internship permit is bond to your employer, so in case you want to change jobs, you will need to do this process over again.
