Chinese New Year holiday season has arrived! In the Lunar calendar, 2021 will begin on this coming February 12th.

New Year’s holiday season began in the last week of January for many Chinese people. All activities will slowly come to a stop as the date comes closer and closer. Normally, many Chinese take this opportunity to travel to their hometowns but as the Covid-19 pandemic is still a concern, authorities have recommended not to do so if there is no absolute need for it.
Chinese universities have also already started holiday season; however, many of them are still partially working. For instance, Northwestern Polytechnical University will continue receiving applications during holidays, though process time might take a bit longer. If you are planning to apply for next September intake, we recommend to prepare and submit your application early as many universities review on first come first serve basis.
